Buyers waiting for their possession is not a new thing in Noida. The uncertainty of pending possessions not only leads to financial barriers on the buyers but also leads to  mental stress and physical inconvenience. While the middle-aged buyers should have been concentrating on their jobs and seniors enjoying their retired  life, they are heading to fight to get their homes for which they have paid  years back.

Sunil Sachdev, 63 years old, retired, booked 2 BHK  apartments of 875 sqft. in the Logix Blossom Zest project in 2011. “The size of my flat was shockingly increased by the shrewd builder to 1075 sqft. and that too without any prior notice or my permission.  I  have already made 90% payment but neither got the possession nor is there any hope. The payment has been made by me from my life savings. I am paying regular EMIs to the bank. I am a retired person with zero  pension and the endless wait for my flat has been very very painful”,  said Sachdeva

Sachdeva said that as per the agreement of Logix builder, the  possession of the flat was to be given by 2013 but the builder  extended the possession by another six months which never happened.“I sent many emails/messages, made phone calls, visited their office  in Noida several times but to no avail. Each time I visited, they took  a few months' extension and kept taking a few more extensions but  nothing concrete happened in the case. They kept making silly excuses. The construction work has also stopped for about  the last 6/7 years. Now the builder doesn’t respond to calls/messages/emails. I then decided to move to RERA in 2018 and  argued myself in the court and a funny judgment about  possession/refund was awarded by RERA court but it's been almost 2.5  years, the builder is not honoring the judgment of RERA and says go and take money from RERA only.”, said Sachdeva.

In search of fellow buyers like him, Sachdeva found information of all 2500 buyers like him who were waiting for their possession. Then he along with other buyers created a WhatsApp group initiating a protest outside  Logix's office.

“Like any common man, I also booked this flat so that I could stay in  that house after my retirement but I kept paying EMIs and rent of my  rented house. After waiting for a long period, I bought another flat  and have been staying there but painfully paying double EMIs and that too without any retirement income”, said Sachdeva.

Apart from Sachdeva, there are several others whose dreams have been crushed by pending possession.
