Dwarka: On July 10, 2022, Rise Foundation, an organisation working for the betterment of the environment, along with members of Senior's Hub Dwarka, a social organisation of senior citizens of Dwarka, carried a plantation drive in MCD park, Sector 7, near Ramphal Chowk. The participants planted saplings together to promote greenery in the area.
Around 40 saplings of Neem, Shreefal, Jamun, Papri and Arjun among others were planted on the occasion. In the plantation drive, around 30 people from various societies participated from various societies in the locality.
Madhukar Varshney, a resident of Sector 3 and founder of Rise Foundation says, “Our planet's alarm is going off, and it is time to wake up and take action. Best way of ecosystem restoration are plantation drives and Miyawaki forestation at war level."
General Secretary of Seniors Hub Dwarka and a resident of Sector 7, Ravi Jaitley says, “It is our responsibility to keep our area green. We have not only planted the saplings but will also take care of them.”
