The auspicious Chaitra Navratri festival takes place during the Hindu month of Chaitra. It is one of the most imperative Hindu celebrations, honouring Goddess Durga in her nine incarnations. Navratri, from Sanskrit for "nine nights," is a time when devotees fast, pray, and perform rituals in honour of the goddess and ask for her blessings.
