The RWA of Sushant Lok, Gurgaon, organised a tree-planting drive on Monday.

Despite the heavy rains, the participants seemed undeterred, as they planted 104 trees in the colony. There were 33 saplings planted in Sushant Vatika, 28 in Tower Park, 19 in Gulab Park, nine in Juliet's green patch and 15 in the park behind it.

“We will have a different agenda each day. With the cooperation of the residents, we will soon reach our target of planting 5,000 trees,” said AK Nagpal, president of the RWA.

The society's security guards also participated in the drive, with residents putting in extra effort between 7 am and 9 am.

"The rain, rather than being a hurdle, actually enriched the experience," said Sudhir Sachdeva, a resident. "Such drives will make our locality beautiful and give our future generations a better place to live in."
