Frustrated Amrapali flat buyers decided to take out a funeral rally for homes they were promised by the builder, but are nowhere in sight. The "funeral" is being conducted at Noida Stadium, where hundreds of homebuyers have congregated.

MP Mahesh Sharma and former MLA Vimla Batham, who were at the stadium for bhumi pujan of the Ram Leela grounds when the "funeral" started, decided to leave as soon as homebuyers started trooping in.

Not a lot to quiet down, protesting homuebuyers were quick to draw on this and start chanting slogans of "Mahesh mat bhago".

Suniti Singh, a buyer, said that the MP's actions only showed that he was not with the buyers. "When he came to the protest site, he told us he would fight for us, but when he saw us, he ran away," she said.

Hitesh Nakhashi, a buyer, told City Spidey that he would not end the protest and that it would continue in front of the Amrapali office until the buyers got what they wanted.

Some of the buyers also said that they when they had given the builder all their money with no returns, they would also give him their life. "We have no option; we will fight the builder till our last breath," buyers said.

Amrapali homebuyers have been protesting against the builder for almost a month now, demanding that they be given a date of possession for their flats.
