Residents of Kirti Apartments, a residential society in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Extension, will soon find a recreation club within their society.

Alka Gulati, a resident who is part of the accounts department, told City Spidey that the managing committee had decided to open the club by February.

“The proposal was passed by the managing committee last week. Now we are trying to estimate a budget to run the club. There will be activities for women, children and senior citizens too. We are preparing a list of activities and will inform residents soon,” she added.

The club will be set up in the society guesthouse. SK Tuteja, secretary of the managing committee, said, “In the initial phase, we will have games such as badminton, chess, carrom and cards. The club will also have newspapers and magazines for residents. Later we will add more facilities depending on demand.”

“Our motive is to keep residents cheerful. They can watch TV, read newspapers and magazines, and play indoor games here,” Tuteja added.
