Garbha at Supertech Capetown, a residential Society in Sector 74, Noida, organised on the occasion Maha Navmi, on Monday, was an all-women affair.
Organised by Jagruk Saheli, a women’s group, the dance was performed by women the of the society while children swaying on the dance floor were an added attraction. The dance continued till late at night.
The performers, dancing in small separate groups, moving in circles in a slow synchronised motion was a treat to the eyes. The dancers kept swinging to the devotional rhythmic tunes of both classical and Bollywood music in a trance.
All this while, children gave company to the ladies jumping and frolicking in gay abandon. The little performers too danced to their heart’s content and did not leave the floor danced till it was all over.
A competition organised on the occasion was a solace for the male members the society though it was meant for all.
