Greater Noida: Hundreds of aggrieved homebuyers of the stalled RG Luxury project of Greater Noida West recently held a meeting to plan their move against the builder. The case has been transferred to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

The site of the project is situated near the famous Ek Murti Chowk in Greater Noida West. The builder had launched it in the year 2010. As many as 1,672 flats were booked and Rs 620 crore in total were deposited by the buyers.

Talking to CitySpidey, the buyers lamented that no construction ever took place after the erection of the base pillar. They tried to reach the builder individually and collectively but all their efforts went in vain as the builder never met them.

It needs a mention here that a group of homebuyers had protested outside the builder's residence in Delhi's Punjabi Bagh for nearly four hours about four months ago but no avail.

Pratap Singh, a homebuyer. said, “We have taken representation to each concerned authority, but none heeded to our problems. Now that the matter has moved to NCLT, the problems of us homebuyers have increased four-fold.”

Another buyer said, “We pay rent and the instalments for the loan we have borrowed for the homes simultaneously. We don't even know whether we will ever get the homes. How can the government have such a casual attitude towards our problems and do nothing for people like us who have invested their lives' hard-earned money to own a home? Are we wrong in providing a permanent roof to our families,” he asked.

The meeting was also attended by the Noida Extension Flat Owners Main Association ( NEFOMA) President Annu Khan who asked the buyers to stand firm as the fight to get their homes might become tougher with time.
