New Delhi: The MLA of Vishwas Nagar, OP Sharma has assured the residents of Kirpal society, IP Extension, that internal roads of the society will soon be repaired using the MLA fund.
Attending a formal function of Kirpal society, the MLA assured residents to make roads as soon as possible. Kirpal society will now be included in the list of societies for road construction.
The road construction work is already going on in 10 societies with the use of MLA fund.
The maintenance of roads of group housing societies has always been a problem. The civic authorities like Public Works Department (PWD) have often overlooked the maintenance of internal roads at societies.
The MLA was at the Kirpal society to attend a sports function. He informed the residents that the society's name has been added in the next proposal of construction work.
The societies where construction has already begun include Ras Vihar Apartment, Navjyoti Apartment, Narwana Apartment, Sahyadri Apartment etc.
President of Kirpal Apartment, Ajay Gupta said, “Concerned authority has never heard our civic problems. Group housing societies are totally responsible to look after civic issues of internal premises. But this initiative has been taken by the MLA. It will be a big relief for the Resident Welfare Association (RWA).”
