Noida: To address the slow progress of new development projects, the Noida Authority has directed the concerned officers to expedite the official process to complete them soon.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ritu Maheshwari was unhappy with unnecessary delay being caused over officials works, like taking approval for e-tendering and publication.
She was reviewing the progress on January 7 this year, during which, she told officials that in case of delay due to the above mentioned works, officers' accountability would now be fixed.
Ritu Maheshwari said that they would have to complete all the officials works within a stipulated period of two weeks starting from now to ensure that works of all proposed development works get started from the first week of next month.
While reviewing, she found that unnecessary delay of two to three months was caused despite price bid was opened. She expressed unhappiness on this kind of delay and warned officials that this kind of lethargic attitude would not be tolerated. She said that they should take effort to do something innovative for making the city beautiful one.
She said that once the price bid is open, officers would have to ensure that works should begin in 15 days otherwise respective officer's responsibility would have to be fixed.
She also said that issues should be identified in the process of e-tendering, which is causing delay. Steps should be taken to change the obstacles for timely start and completion of the proposed development.
