New Delhi: Delhi Metro's Blue Line services were affected briefly on Thursday morning after a 50-year-old man committed suicide by jumping on the tracks at Dwarka Mor station.
The police were trying to ascertain the identity of the deceased at the time of reporting.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Delhi Metro, the incident took place at around 10 am on Platform 1 of the Dwarka Mor station.
Earlier, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted that the services between Dwarka Sector 21 and Rajiv Chowk were delayed after a passenger jumped on the tracks at Dwarka Mor metro station.
"Delay in services between Dwarka Sector 21 and Rajiv Chowk due to a passenger on track at Dwarka Mor. Normal service on all other lines,” tweeted Delhi Metro at 9.59 am.
Later, at 10.14 am, the DMRC informed that normal services resumed on the line.
The Blue Line is the busiest among all the metro lines that ferry thousands of passengers from Delhi and neighbouring cities of Noida and Ghaziabad.
