New Delhi: As the stage for Auto Expo 2020 is ready, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is gearing up to provide additional facilities to visitors to the automobile show.
The NMRC said that visitors to the Auto Expo to be held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida from February 7 to 12 can now travel by Metro’s Aqua Line for the exhibition. The Knowledge Park-II is the nearest Metro station to the exhibition venue (approx. 500 mts).
Besides providing direct connectivity to the Auto Expo, the NMRC will be providing other facilities to the visitors.
To accommodate the rush of visitors and avoid crowding at stations, the NMRC will also run its trains at a frequency of 6 minutes during peak hours and 7.5 minutes during the non-peak hours for the duration of the exhibition.
Currently, the trains run at a frequency of 7.5 minutes and 10 minutes during peak hours and non-peak hours respectively, an official statement says.
To facilitate the visitors, the corporation is also setting up a total of six counters for the sale of Auto Expo tickets at three metro stations, namely Sector 51, Sector 137 and Knowledge Park - II.
E-rickshaw facility from Knowledge Park-II station to Auto Expo: The NMRC will also be deploying ten e-rickshaws to ferry passengers from the station to the venue at a bare minimum fare of Rs 10 per passenger.
Parking facility is also available for the general public at 10 Aqua Line metro stations, namely Sector 51, Sector 76, Sector 101, Sector 81, sector 137, Sector 142, Knowledge Park-II, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1 and Delta 1, the statement said.
