RESIDENT SPEAK: Stray animals make lives of people difficult at GreNo West

Greater Noida: I reside in Techzone area in Greater Noida West. The area has many prominent highrises like Nirala Estate, Spring Meadows and La Residentia where thousands of families live with small kids. 

These days we are facing a lot of difficulties from stray animals like dogs, roadside cows, bulls and monkeys. They can be seen quite often. Monkeys even get to the balconies of homes. Kitchen is their favorite place to steal food.

But, dogs are worst among them all. They even climb till 10th floor of the buildings and catch hold of milk, vegetables and other items. They litter at places and create inconvenience for people.

The nuisance has become of such magnitude that the residents don’t feel safe to step out on the roads fearing the dog pack would attack. They are all around our parking areas which are inside the society's premises and have also attacked residents severely in the past.

On top of these issues when they all whimper, whine or bark together at night, it creates a very odd-scary situation and negative vibes across the region because of which the children are also scared. 

I feel, if this area belongs to these canines, the authority should not have planned residential area here as living by the fear is no way to live.

And, now since we have planned the city here and peoples have moved to this area, some corrective actions must be taken now to move these strays to a safer place where they can live. This will also make the neighbourhood safer for us.
