Noida Authority assures Udyog Vihar residents to increase greenery in park

Noida: Park of Udyog Vihar, a residential society in Sector 82, Noida will no longer wear a deserted look as the horticulture department of the Noida Industrial Development Authority assured the residents to make it greener soon.

The assurance came after a team comprising Rajendra Kumar, Deputy Director of horticulture department, Noida Industrial Development Authority, Buddha Singh, assistant director, Jay Kishan, inspector at horticulture department convened a meeting with the residents at community centre of the society.

The residents complained that the society's park had been wearing a deserted look for long as the contractor filled it with concrete waste while developing it. Efforts were being made to make it greener in the past as well, however the grass dried up as soon as they were planted.

The residents asked the officials to clear the concrete waste from the park and fill it with soil for good growth of the grass.

The officials noted the points raised by the residents and assured them that they would prepare an estimate for renovating the park. They said that the park would be renovated after all the official procedures were done.

The residents also raised the issue of poor service of door-to-door waste collection. They complained that the vehicles deployed for collecting the waste did not come on time due to which many residents, especially office goers, were not able to drop their kitchen waste in the vehicles.

The officials took note of the issue and assured them of an alternate option for dropping their kitchen waste.
