According to DDA, ten ducks were reported dead at Sanjay Lake in East Delhi.

Dwarka: Two parks, which are under the jurisdiction of DDA, have been closed for public in Dwarka as dead birds were found inside the premises.

As said by the Deputy Director of Horticulture in Dwarka, FS Chahar, the parks at Sector 9 and Sector 5 have been closed. 

“Day before yesterday our staff informed about the dead crows in the parks. We immediately informed the concerned team to investigate the matter. Doctors visited and took the sample for further investigation. Result of test of samples are yet to come,” he said.

On the other hand, according to DDA, ten ducks were reported dead at Sanjay Lake in East Delhi. The samples have been sent to ascertain the cause of death. Besides, 24 crows died in the last four days at District Park Jasola. 

DDA is monitoring the situation closely and is in touch with other government agencies. Meanwhile, precautionary measures like spraying of disinfectant are being carried out in the DDA parks.

As a precautionary measure, Hauz Khas park, Dwarka Sector 9 park and Sanjay Lake have been shut down.
