Five ways to celebrate pride month at home

New Delhi: Pride month is celebrated every year in the month of June. However, with the restrictions of social distancing and on public gatherings, this year’s Pride Month is going to be a little bit different, to say the least. A lot of parades have been cancelled, and there are lots of  people who are asking the question: how will we celebrate Pride Month this year?

Don't worry friends, here are the ways to celebrate pride month at your home.

Take part in a virtual celebration

There are huge loads of events happening on the web this year to not allow the pandemic to dampen the spirits of the LGBTQIA+ people group. From workshops to courses, look for Pride Month events and take part in the virtual festivals.

Share posts on social media

Celebrate Pride Month by sharing a post via social media, be it about the tales of the battle of the LGBTQIA+ community or the intriguing history of Pride Month. Share information about this month to observe Pride Month in your own interesting manner.

Decorate your home

You can decorate your home with Pride Month-themed embellishments. You can hang a rainbow banner or make a Pride-themed stylistic layout to hold tight your walls or on the windows to celebrate and expand support for the LGBTQIA+ people group.

Host or be a part of virtual movie night

There are lots of films, shows, and documentaries regarding this matter that can help you to understand the significance of this current month and the battles of the LGBTQIA+ people group. So gather your friends and host a virtual Pride-themed film night with them!

Create DIY pride arts

It is a very creative way to celebrate Pride Month, especially with the young generation. Try to make DIY artwork that is related to the LGBTQIA+ community. You will also try to host a long-distance DIY session for the LGBTQIA+ on Zoom or google meet. You will try to make rainbow headbands, jewellery, banners, dream catchers, posters, etc.
