Dwarka residents face water scarcity

Dwarka: Several societies in Dwarka are facing a water crisis. Residents of Adarsh apartments have been facing continuous water scarcity since last month, however, the authorities have turned a deaf ear to their complaints.

Komal Sharma, resident of Adarsh Apartments, said, "From online complaints to visiting the Jal Board, I have tried to approach everyone to solve the water crisis that we are facing. I have been taking leaves from work to visit the Delhi Jal Board officials at Madhu Vihar station and request them to send a water tank. Now it has become a routine to go there 2-3 times a day to see if they will send a water tanker or not. Our block is located at one corner of the society. Very little water has been coming to flat number 102 to 112 for the last one month. Water tankers are not helping much as they tell us to fill limited water since they need to serve many other apartments as well."

Devesh Mundepi, general secretary, Adarsh Apartments RWA, said, "Most of the residents have been facing a water shortage for a week. Few residents have also complained about dirty water. The Delhi Jal Board motor pump is not working at its full efficiency which is affecting the water pressure."

One of the DJB officials told CitySpidey that they have been trying to rectify the problem on priority. The officials said the supply will become normal soon.
