Dwarka: Many livelihoods have been adversely hit by the pandemic. Taking notice of this reality, Ngo Goonj organized a contribution camp for citizens in the phase of pandemic on Sunday morning in front of GD Goenka Public School near Golak Dham, Sector 10, Dwarka. It was held between 10:30 to 1 pm. The camp was organised under the "Joy of giving" initiative by Goonj.
According to Arvind Agrawal, a resident of New Millennium Apartments in Sector 22 and a volunteer at the camp, people made valuable contributions during the camp including clothes, utensils and books, footwear, toys, stationery to bags, water containers, bed sheets and towels.
“We organise these camps to help people affected by natural calamities and other tragedies. We aim to provide them with basic survival needs. We got an enthusiastic response from our earlier camps and I hope people will donate for this noble cause too,” said Arvind.
He further informed us that , "2 full truck materials were collected on Sunday work camp. The next camp in Dwarka will be held on 9th Oct. Goonj is a Delhi-based non-profit organisation that operates in disaster relief and humanitarian aid. The next contribution camp will be held on 9th Oct at Outside Golf view apartment(opp. OPG school) Plot no-4, Sector-19B, Dwarka, Timing:- 10:30 am -1:30 pm.
