Dwarka: All Dwarka Residents Federation (ADRF) in association with Pacific D21 Dwarka Mall is all set to organise E-Ravan Dahan on Friday.
The organisers made an appeal to Dwarka residents to join hands to celebrate E-Ravan Dahan. The event will be organised on Friday between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
Ajit Swamy, President of All Dwarka Residents Federation, said, “There will be 200 people seating in the event. This will not cause pollution and the practice of Ravana Dahan, which has been going on for centuries on Dussehra, will also be followed methodically.”
Anil Kundra, a member of Dwarka Forum, said, “Vijayadashami is celebrated for years for the victory of good over evil. We must collectively own the responsibility to continue our sacraments even in these difficult times and must defeat Covid-19.”
He added, “This year in Dwarka, the festival will be celebrated with simplicity for the first time through E-Ravan Dahan due to the coronavirus pandemic and the guidelines implemented after that.
This time, Ravan Dahan will be done in the presence of selected people but preparation is there to show combustion online to millions of people who are not allowed to join physically in the ground. All the residents must participate.”
Ravi Jaitley, General Secretary of Dwarka Senior Hub, said, “It's a good step towards celebrating the event with proper compliance to covid protocol. When we can't do physical burning of Ravan, at least E-Ravan Dahan is equally fine. The message gets conveyed about the victory of good over evil. Also, the pollution issue is solved this way. Kudos to PacificD21 Mall for conceiving and making ADRF partners. Wishing them a grand success.”
