Whenever we talk about drugs in Bollywood, the first name that comes to our mind is Sanjay Dutt. In Simi Garewal's show, he spoke about his addiction and nine years of his life that went into vain because of it. "It was just the 'in' thing at that time. Somebody just said try it and that was it, for nine years of my life," he said. Irrespective of all the consequences, Sanjay made comeback in Bollywood and has been clean from over four decades now.

Fardeen Khan, son of veteran actor Feroz Khan has also been in similar controversy. He had a short Bollywood career, and completely disappeared after getting arrested by Mumbai Police on May 5, 2001. The case against Fardeen was of attempt to use of drugs, this case was solely responsible for destroying his career in Bollywood.

Bharati and Harsh were arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after a huge amount of drugs were found from their residence. The NCB said in a statement, “In follow-up and in corroboration with previous inputs, NCB raided two places on November 20, 2020 including production office and house of actor-comedian Ms. Bharti Singh and from both the places, 86.5 gms of ganja was recovered. Both Ms Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiya accepted consumption of ganja. Ms. Bharti Singh was placed under arrest as per the provisions of NDPS Act 1986 and examination of Shri Harsh Limbachiya is underway (sic).”

Apart from this, in the infamous Sushant Singh Rajpoot case, Rhea Chakrobarty confirmed that the actor was consuming marijuana on regular basis and was addicted to it. A party of Karan Johar also came into the spotlight when a video got viral in which it was alleged that drugs were being consumed.
