UEFA Champion league draw: No Messi vs Ronaldo; PSG to face Real Madrid

On Monday afternoon, the draw for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 matches was held. Ronaldo and Messi’s fans got excited with the news that they will witness the epic rivalry again. But that excitement was short-lived and was shattered within three hours when UCL reported that a mistake happened in the draw. The draw was conducted again later in the evening.

We witnessed the rivalry of Real Madrid and FC Barcelona turn into a rivalry of Ronaldo and Messi for 7 long years. They both took this rivalry to a different level. Ronaldo with 450 goals in 438 games for Real Madrid is the top scorer of all time for Real Madrid and Messi with 672 goals in 778 games is the top scorer for any single club in the history of football. They both pushed each other to their sporting limits in trying to be the greatest players of all time. The debate of who is better, Messi or Ronaldo is still going on between their fans. But one thing is sure that they are far ahead of all the other players who played the game in their time.

The fan missed this golden opportunity to see these greats playing against each other but in the second draw something similarly interesting has come up. It's PSG vs Real Madrid game. Messi played against Real Madrid throughout his football career. FC Barcelona played 28 games against Real Madrid after the debut of Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos was the captain for Real Madrid in most of these games. His aggressive approach to the games and attacking plan against Messi was one of his most appreciated plays by the fans and his colleagues. Now the scenario has changed. The first game is on Wednesday, 16 February, 2022 in Paris and the second one is on Thursday, 10 March, 2022 in Bernabeu, Madrid.
