Percy Jackson, the young demigod in the famous novel series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, is set to return to screens in the new series by the same name on Disney Plus Hotstar. The Adam Project fame, 13-year-old Walker Scobell has tapped the titular role and the makers seem to be very happy with this choice.
The young actor stole the show in the Netflix movie The Adam Project, where he played the young Ryan Reynolds and left everyone impressed. The writer of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Rick Riordan, in a blog post, said, "It was obvious to me and the rest of the team that Walker had the perfect mix of comedic timing, sweetness, rebelliousness, snark, and heroism to embody our hero Percy Jackson". The 13-year-old Scobell will be playing a 12-year-old Percy Jackson in the new series.
