If you are an aesthete and in addition would like to try your hand at some amazing art workshops, attend art lectures and feast your eyes on displayed art then you must grab this chance. Art Amigos celebrating the festival of art ‘Palash’- Ek Nai Umang celebrating visual art in all forms at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the  Arts Janpath, New Delhi from 17th-20th April 2022.

You can enjoy numerous activities at Palash such as exhibitions of renowned artists, workshops of various art forms, lectures and demo conversations. Other than that you can also indulge in a flea market, entertainment zones and art galleries.

The event is drawing a mixed crowd made up of artists, eager to learn children and some art lovers. Rashmi Malhotra, from Dwarka, one of the participants whose artwork was on display says, "My paintings can be seen as folk art where I depict glimpses from the life of Ram and Sita. It is a good experience for me to display my paintings here." She had also displayed some of her Madhubani paintings.

Amit Kumar, who was taking a workshop on calligraphy in Hindi Devnagri at Kala Swasti expressed " I'm enjoying this process of learning and how unique it feels. I'm learning it for the first time and will definitely try it at home."

Sagarika Banerjee, Co-Founder at Amigos and passionate mandala artist opines “The purpose behind Palash is to bring all the artists together who are looking for a good platform. We are providing an online and offline platform, especially to the amateur and budding  artist.” She adds further,"Art is not only about painting it is more than moving a paintbrush or pen. Art can heal you from inside and that is the insight of our lectures,” Sagarika added.

Dushyant Joshi, founder of Amigo opines “As the technologies are growing so fast, we are trying to provide a platform to all the artists with the help of Amigo. As you can see plash is celebrating a lot of artists today in physical mode. Further, we would conclude virtual galleries too.”

Dr Gouri Shrivastava, coordinator of the event said “Minimal fees of rupee 500 per workshop will be charged which will also cover food, art material and demonstration. the workshop is being held at Kala Swasti.  There is free entry to the feature art exhibition. One can also enjoy  an exhibition cum sale of 43 different artists in the outer space of  IGNCA.”

On the 2nd day, 18th April 2022.

Lectures on the digital promotion of art to spread to the masses will  be held from 11:45 PM to 12:30 PM.
Lecture on art and spirituality, introspection during covid times from  12:30 PM to 1:15 PM.
Question and answer round from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM.
Lunch 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
Workshop on lappan art from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Workshop on jute rope craft from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

On the 3rd day, 19th April 2022.

Breakfast from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
Moderate speech on spaces and art from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
Lecture on exhibition design and virtual world from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM.
Lecture on new museum design and trends from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM
Lecture on the adoption of architectural space from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM.
 Question and ensure round from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM.
Lunch.
Workshop on resin art from 2:30 PM to 4:30 pm.

Lecture on an adaptation of heritage spaces into the art world from  12:30 PM to 1:15 PM.
Question and ensure round from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM.
Lunch from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
