Delhi: As the season of festivals is approaching, celebrations of several festivals have kickstarted in Delhi. A teej and rakhi event was organised on July 23, 2022, at the La'Cordial Banquet at Crossriver Mall, near Karkardoma court by the Aastha Women's Club. The event started at 11 a.m. and went on till 8 p.m. There was music, lights, and food at the event for the women to enjoy.

During the event, an art competition was also organised for the children. There were more than 50 different booths that made the event enjoyable including a painting booth, cookie booth, miniature booth, designer dress booth, designer jewellery booth, as well as Rakhi booth, and more.  The best part about the event was that it was all free.

A lady at the event told us, "We are happy to attend such an event; it provides us with a chance to spend a few moments with our friends we have missed in the last two years."

"I enjoyed it a lot here. I got a chance to spend some time with myself. For attending this fest, I took off from my work and it was worth it," says Sunita Devi, a resident of Ram Nagar, Shahdara.

Muskan Chauhan, a resident of Shahdara, said, "We used to enjoy these kinds of festivals in college, and when I heard about this event, I instantly decided to come here with my friend to relive such memories."

Anubhav and Sanchita Jain, two siblings who set up a rakhi and kurta stall at the event, said they enjoy participating in such events because it allows them to have a few moments of joy. "After all, it is during the festival season that we reconnect with our customers," said they.
