The special occasion of Raksha bandhan is the celebration of the bond between siblings. It is an occasion for you dress up, tie rakhi to your brothers and give gifts to your sisters, followed by a hearty meal and lots of sweets. To make the occasion more special, we have compiled a list of some movies you can watch to enjoy the day-
Sarabjit
This film is based on a real-life incidence and is a heartbreaking but beautiful story of a brother and sister. Dalbir Kaur devotes her entire life to free her brother from wrongful imprisonment in Pakistan. However, things don't go as planned. It's not really a happy watch but is definitely an emotional one.
Jaane Tu.. Ya Jaane Na
Genelia D'Souza as Aditi and Prateik Babbar as Amit are an accurate portrayal of a brother sister relationship. They fight almost all the time but deep down, they have love for each other. The movie also shows in a beautiful way how two siblings can be very different but still understand each other better than anyone else.
Dil Dhadakne Do
The relationship between Ayesha and Kabir is an important element of this film. Although they were there for each other whenever necessary, they never overdid their sibling affection. They struggled against social preconceptions and stood up for one another.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
The film is based on the true journey of Indian Olympian Milkha Singh, but what touched our hearts the most was the bond between the athlete and his sister Isri Kaur, played perfectly by Divya Dutt.
Fiza
The movie gives a strong message that distance can not affect the bond siblings share. This is a film which will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and might be a good watch for Rakshabandhan.
