With 2k plus Covid cases becoming a new normal, the Covid situation has once again become a concern in the capital. Although the positivity rate has fallen, the number of deaths has increased.
According to information released by the health department on August 13, 2022, the capital has registered 2031 new cases in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate comes to 12.34 per cent.
Delhi in the first 10 days of August recorded 19, 760 Covid cases and 40 fatalities. This raises whether the capital is under the grip of another Covid wave. Because of this, masks have been made mandatory in all public places with Rs 500 as a fine as per the order issued by ADM, South Delhi.
This brings the active cases to 8105. Here, 511 patients are admitted to hospitals. 5563 patients are in home isolation. Moreover, 305 containment zones have been identified throughout Delhi.
