After the announcement of the celebration of National Cinema day on Sept 16, cine-goers were excited to catch films for mere Rs 75. The good news still holds but there is a delay. The day for National Cinema Day has been changed. The Multiplex Association of India has decided to postpone National Cinema Day by a week. It’ll now be held on Friday, September 23, instead of Friday, September 16.
Major cinema screen in India will offer movie tickets only for rupees 75 on the occasion of National Cinema Day on September 23, 2022. According to an announcement released by the Multiplex Association of India (MAI), 4000+ screens across India will be participating in this celebration of cinema.
The participating cinema screens include PVR, INOX, Cinépolis, Carnival, Miraj, Citypride, Asian, Mukta A2, Movietime, Wave, M2K, Delite, and many others.
Audiences of all age groups can come together on National Cinema Day to enjoy a day at the movies. According to MAI, National Cinema Day is a "thank you" to the moviegoers who helped with the successful reopening of theatres.
