Noida: After almost two years of restricted celebration of Navaratri because of Covid, the residents of Prateek Wisteria, Sector 77, Noida are excited to celebrate Navaratri this year in a grand manner. They are all set to celebrate Navaratri with Dhol, Nagada and lots of enthusiasm in their hearts.

The PW Durga Puja Samiti plans to welcome Maa Durga on September 30, the day of the Murti Agaman and to bid adieu to her on October 6, the day of Murti Visarjan. Ram Leela will also be organised in the society's amphitheater.

Kriti Gaur, a resident of Prateek Wisteria, says, "We will be celebrating Puja in the back amphitheater. There will be lots of cultural programs, Anandamela, stalls, musical nights – in short, everything that will make our Navaratri experience unique and special."

The Puja Samiti has entire schedule laid out for the Navaratri celebrations. On September 26, 2022, a Rajasthani theme event will be organized, on September 27,  2022, a Mata Ki Chowki will be organised with DJ Sufi, on September 28, 2022, Wisterians will have some cultural events like dance, singing, group dance, drama and on September 29, 2022, they will conduct 'Wisterias got Talent'. Following this, a two-day Dandiya night will be conducted on October 1 and October 2, 2022, and on October 3, 2022, Maha Pujan and Bhandara will be organized. On October 4 and 5, 2022, Ramleela play will be performed by kids, followed by Ravan Dahan. On October 6, Durga Maa will be immersed.

Srirupa, a residents of the society and a member of the Bengali Community of the Society says, "Durga Puja  is integral part of our lives and celebrating the Agamon of Mahisasurmardini (Durga) is always a special occasion for us. The Durgotsav will be celebrated from Panchimi on September 30, 2022, with the Anandmela. In Anandmela, we Wisterians will bring home-cook food and 25-30 stalls will be set up."

]She also added that from Shasti (sixth day of Navaratri) onwards, they will have cultural nights and musical nights. On Ashtami, they will organize a Dhunuki Dance competiton among the Wisterian Ladies and Senior Citizen from the society will be judging the event. On the day of Dusherra, the whole community will whole heartedly play Sindur Khela in the morning.
