Qala Trailer: Tripti Dimri and Babil Khan come together in period drama

Netflix recently released the trailer of the anticipated film directed by Anvita Dutt 'Qala'. Tripti Dimri has collaborated with Anvita again in a fantastical drama. Set in the 1960s, the movie is based on the life of Qala Manjushree, a young playback singer as she struggles to preserve her reputation and win the approval of her mother, her harshest critic. Movie fans will eagerly anticipate the movie, which will start streaming on December 1, 2022.

The movie also marks the debut of Babil Khan, the late actor Irfan Khan's son. In the trailer, the singer, quite famous in the industry, loses her sense when she gets replaced or compared with the newcomer Jagan just on her career peek. Babil, who seems to have a natural charm for acting appears mystical and powerful in the trailer.

As her personal life and her connection with her mother, played by Swastika Mukherjee portrays, come into focus, the success of the young playback singer, played by Tripti Dimri, will be jeopardised.

With her performance in 2020 hit Bulbbul, Tripti Dimri has already made an impression. She has worked once more with producer Karnesh Sharma and director Anvitaa Dutt on the upcoming movie Qala. Tripti, in the trailer, keeps calling on her mother to prove to her how popular and successful she has become, but later it seems her mother also pushes her on edge, which turns out unhealthy for the singer.

The movie's trailer looks promising and intriguing for audiences to see how the music industry worked in the 40s. Amit Sial, Neer Raao, Avinash Raj Sharma, and Ashish Singh also appear in Qala. Karnesh Sharma, the brother of Anushka Sharma, produces it through his company Clean Slate Filmz.
