Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police, in an effort to punish traffic rule violators and make roads safer for commuters, has launched an app where the residents of Delhi can report traffic rule violations. Through the app named 'Traffic Sentinel', anyone who witnesses traffic rule violations on the roads on Delhi can report the same.
The Delhi Traffic Police announced about this initiative through a tweet. The tweet reads, "Be a Traffic Sentinel and report traffic violations committed by motorists on Delhi Roads."

In the description of the app, Delhi Traffic Police wrote that the app "is an empowering tool in the hands of the common citizen who got a platform to report traffic offences occurring on the roads of Delhi to the authorities." The description also highlights the 14 types of offences that can be reported through the app which include offences such as triple riding, without seat belt, red light jumping, parking on footpath among others.
