Noida Extension Flat Owners call a massive protest rally

Greater Noida: A massive protest rally was initiated on 5th February, 2023 by the flat owners under the leadership of the Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA). This was for the tenth time when the home buyers called a protest rally and expressed their resent against Uttar Pradesh Government, the Greater Noida Development Authority, Police and the administration. This protest rally was basically for the rights which the home owners were deprived of for a long period.

The home owners were in a distressed condition and they revealed their feeling of resentment by raising slogans against the Uttar Pradesh Government, Greater Noida Development Authority, police and administration. Around 300 vehicles and more than 500 flat buyers participated in this rally. As a result, there was traffic jam on the roads of Greater Noida West. The traffic police had to toil hard to bring the situation under control. There was also a scuffle between the flat buyers and the police, but the buyers persistently refused to end the protest. According to sources, the home buyers have been fighting for their rights over half a decade.

Abhishek Kumar, president of NEFOWA, said, "Nowhere in the world is the common man fighting for a house as much as here. I have been fighting for my house for years, and even today around one thousand homebuyers in Noida, Greater Noida and Greater Noida West are struggling to get their houses from the builders. We are forced to take to the streets."
