Noida: The work of removing temporary cables in the Noida Sector 18 market is being done in a haphazard manner as the company isn’t following safety norms and proper systems. The residents fear this may result in some mishaps in future.
The company, instead of removing the double post structure from the ground, has just cut them with the cutters and left them above the seed. While removing the electric poles, the company left half the poles on the roads. The market area has become an accident-prone zone.

Sushil Kumar Jain, president of the Noida Sector 18 Market Association, informed us that the remaining parts of the poles that are above ground will prove fatal and will cause serious accidents.

He further added that the contractor is negligent in their work, and it has become a root of trouble for the customers, traders, and employees coming to the Sector 18 market. Kumar has requested that the concerned department looks into the matter and rectifies the mistakes immediately. He further said that the officers should take action against the contractor who has left the work midway.
