Poila Baishakh: A pristine emotion gets induced on first day of Bengali New Year

World poet Rabindrnath Tagore once created a beautiful piece where he called upon the season of summer or Baishakh which enthrals our senses with new beginning.Bengali New Year is widely popular as ‘Naboborsho’ which means New Year and this is famously called ‘Poila Baisakh’ or the First  Day of Baishakh. Celebration of this day is an integral part of age old Bengali heritage and this is an auspicious day  to rejuvenate the soul for the upcoming days which should bring utmost bliss, happiness, good health, success, peace of mind and prosperity.
There are lots of things that Bengali people try to maintain on this day but most important things are :

Luchi and Aloor Dum:This is just an awesome Bengali dish without  which Bengal's Naboborsho can never be celebrated. People enjoy  this combination very much  here and specially on this day.

Mishti Doi : Mishti Doi or sweet  curd is considered to be a very fortunate thing and every Bengali household celebrate this day with delicious Mishti Doi.

Rosogolla: Bengal is known worldwide for its sweet dish called Rosogolla. Bengali New Year or Poila Baisakh  is incomplete without  it. Rosogolla is a must thing on this day for the grand celebration.
