Protests Continue in GreNo West's Supertech Ecovillage -1 Over Unresolved Issues

Residents of Supertech Ecovillage-1 in Greater Noida West are staging a massive protest against the builder due to the incomplete works of the society. The protest began on April 23 and will continue until their demands are met. The residents have been demonstrating against the builder every Sunday, but they claim that no one has responded to their demands, forcing them to call an indefinite strike.

The residents have listed their demands, which they believe the builder should pay attention to immediately. These demands include:

  • Stop charging Rs 25000+GST in the name of increasing mains (NPCL) electric load, strengthening power infrastructure, and getting rid of power cuts.
  • Address the issue of stray dogs within society.
  • Establish all clubs mentioned in the society map as soon as possible.
  • Complete fire safety arrangements within the society without delay.
  • Install all lifts that are supposed to be installed in all the towers, as some towers have only one lift, and some have none at all.
  • Complete the construction of STP (Straight Through Processing) in society without delay.
  • Stop waterlogging and leakages that persist throughout the years.
  • Complete the basement parking and allocate parking spaces to residents, while stopping the practice of charging extra for covered parking.
  • Improve the security system of society.

Ashish Vijpuria, a resident of Supertech Ecovillage-1, stated, "No problem has been solved by the builder. We bought our houses after spending lakhs of rupees. Neither there is a registry of the houses. If houses have been found, then problems have piled up in them." He also added that their fight will continue until their demands are met.
