Greater Noida ADC Police Trains Students in Self-Defense

Greater Noida: Additional Deputy Commissioner of Women's Safety, Preeti Yadav, along with ACP Varnika Singh, conducted an awareness program on self-protection for engineering and management students at the GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management under the Police Station Knowledge Park area. The Mission Shakti program taught the girl students of BTech, MTech, and MBA various tricks of self-defence.

During the program, ADCP Women's Safety Preeti Yadav emphasized the importance of immediately reporting any incident that violates the honour and rights of a person on Women Power Line-1090, Child Help Line-1098, or Police Helpline Number Dial-112. She also assured the students that they need not fear the police and that they are committed to ensuring their safety.

The students also shared their experiences of cybercrime with their parents and themselves. Preeti Yadav gave them detailed information about ways to prevent cybercrime and advised them to share everything with their parents and teachers. In case they face any issues, they can seek help from the child helpline, where their confidentiality will be maintained.

ACP Cybercrime Varnika Singh apprised the students about the nuances related to cybercrime and cautioned them against sharing personal information with unknown people on social media. She advised them to inform the police immediately and register a complaint on the cyber helpline 1930 if they face any cybercrime.

The awareness program was attended by ACP Women Safety Cyber Varnika Singh, Station House Officer Knowledge Park Vinod Kumar Singh, Director of GL Bajaj Dr Manas Kumar Mishra, Dean Dr Shashank Awasthi, staff, and students of the college.
