Dwarka: Parents of kids in Delhi Public School Dwarka staged a protest on Saturday 13th May morning on several issues against the school administration. The protest was carried out silently by the parents standing in front of the school. Banners posters and other such stuffs were in hand of the parents which they were showing as their protest, to make community aware about what are their issues with the school administration.
One of the parents who has been instrumental in raising the voice against the irregularities in schools, Divya Mattey says, “We raised our voice against the atrocities of Delhi Public School, Dwarka Sector 3 in peaceful way. Several subjects we raised from fee hike to strike off the names of wards and other such issues related to that.”
Divya further adds, “Parents are running from pillar to post to raise their concerns which have not been heard by the Education Minister or DOE. Now the protest is the option to make them listen our concerns.”
The concerned parents said that the fee hike by the school was unjustified and direct violation of law. Mahesh Mishra another parent in the protest says, “Delhi Government has been inefficient in controlling the illegal fee hike done by DPS Dwarka School. Parents were threatened for their wards' name strike off, fear of their wards made captive in libraries for not paying increased fee and hired bouncer in school as well in buses to prevent student to attend school and parents to meet the management.”
