NMRC To Launch Mobile App For Passenger Convenience Soon

Noida: The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has announced the development of a mobile app that will enable passengers to book and pay for various modes of transportation. To ensure the app meets the needs of commuters, the corporation plans to gather feedback from cycle and battery rickshaw drivers, as well as Metro passengers. In order to collect this feedback, NMRC will conduct a questionnaire from May 25 at 12 noon until June 24 at 11:59 pm.

The NMRC is committed to providing improved facilities to its commuters and currently serves around 50,000 passengers daily. The questionnaire will seek information on travel requirements, challenges, and priorities from both commuters and transport service providers. The authorities have encouraged all commuters and transport service providers to participate in the questionnaire. Additionally, every 100 individuals who complete the questionnaire will receive a reward. The questionnaire will be available on NMRC's website.

Based on the suggestions received through the questionnaire, a committee will develop the mobile app. Copies of the questionnaire will also be available at Knowledge Park 2, Pari Chowk, and Noida Sector 51 metro stations in Greater Noida. NMRC has released two QR codes, one for passengers and the other for transport service providers. Scanning the codes with a phone will reveal all the questions.

NMRC officials highlight that the corporation has recently been designated as the nodal authority for mobility services in the Noida and Greater Noida region. With this responsibility, NMRC aims to make travel experiences convenient, safe, time-efficient, and cost-effective. By gathering information on people's priorities and daily challenges, NMRC plans to enhance the digital platform and align it with formal methods, ultimately improving the usage of public transportation.
