The victim, a 27-year-old software engineer, was living with seven other flatmates for the past six months. The police say the cause could be excessive consumption of liquor.
A 27-year-old software engineer's body was found in a flat in Antriksh Golf View, a residential society in Sector 78, Noida, yesterday morning.
The victim has been identified as Pratap Rao. He was living as a paying guest in Flat No H-403 with seven other flatmates for the past six months.
He hailed from Betul district of Madhya Pradesh.
The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, informed the police. The cops found four or five empty beer bottles in his room.
The family members of the deceased have been informed about the incident.
Kishore Kumar, a flat mate, said, “In the morning when Pratap did not come out of his room, we started knocking on his door. But when Pratap did not reply, we forced open the door and found him on his bed.”
Parshuram, station officer of Sector 49 police station, told City Spidey, “Excess consumption of alcohol could be the reason for his death. The police have sent the body for post mortem, and the report is awaited.”
He added that the police will make a final conclusion only after the report arrives.
