After last week’s protests by the Park View Residency residents against a host of issues, including rising levels of pollution and bad traffic, some action has been initiated finally. The air pollution control officers slammed a fine on the construction site and summoned them to file a report on whether or not they have been following the National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines.

Besides Park View Residency, residents from C2 Block and Mahendra Aura had also joined the protests last Friday.

"We are relieved to see some action happening against our complaint. The authorities have started sprinkling water on the roads to reduce dust pollution," said Rajnish Talwar, treasurer, Park View Residency.

The protests had led the police to file FIR against 50 residents.

In response, the female residents had filed a complaint with the SDM against the misdemeanor of police officials.

"The traffic police has finally deployed four traffic officials on the 2-km stretch for better traffic situation," said Yashesh Yadav, president Mahindra Aura.
