The repairing work of the damaged portions over the drains, which were caved in after rains, is going on these days in Dwarka. According to the people, the work was started three to four days back.
The residents of the area said that the authorities took the action after looking at the danger due to the caved in portions. The issue was also highlighted by City Spidey in its news published on 4th August 2018.
The concerned authorities took immediate action to repair the damaged portion. The damaged portions are in front of Satisar Apartments and Harsukh apartments in Sector-7.
Ex-joint secretary of Harsukh Apartments, Ravi Jaitely said, “Thanks to City Spidey for highlighting the issue of open drains in Dwarka especially between plot numbers 4 to 6 in your coverage of 4th August 2018.”
“The authorities have woken up and we could see that the work has started at one place. Materials have also been put up around other places for repair works. We know that it will take time but at least the authorities have woken up. I thank City Spidey for highlighting the issue,” said Jaitely.
Vice president of Rashi Apartments, Sanjeev Kumar, said that a person was about to fall in the drain due to that caved in portion. He said that the person lost his important documents and mobile phone in that incident. “I am happy that the work has started. I am happy that City Spidey is highlighting our issue. Thanks to City Spidey,” said Kumar.
