Three U-turns, closing of intersections planned to ease traffic at Noida

To improve the traffic movement in Noida, the traffic police have planned to make three U-turns by closing three intersections. They want to do it before the advent of winter in the city.

The new diversions are planned near NTPC underpass, Sector 67 intersection and Government Inter College of Noida. The new U-turns are expected to ease the traffic congestion in the city.

The traffic police have planned to make a U-turn under the elevated road between pillar numbers 50 and 51 and block one side of the road near the NTPC underpass.

The intersection near Sector 67 was blocked earlier. U-turn was made around 500 metres ahead. But, now, a small U-turn will be made for the vehicles coming from the elevated road.

The vehicles coming from Sector 67 will not be allowed to take the road. However, they will be able to use the service road to reach the T-point and then take a U-turn.

The SP traffic, Anil Jha said, “There is always traffic congestion at the intersections during peak hours. This causes a lot of air pollution. With opening of U-turn and closing of intersection, these problems will be solved.”
