The police said that they are making a list of Mercedes car owners for further investigation to find the person involved in the hit and run incident.

Following the hit and run incident which left one dead and another injured at Dwarka, the police are making efforts to trace the perpetrators of the incident. They are taking the lead from the Mercedes logo which was found at the hit and run site.

The police said that they are making a list of Mercedes car owners for further investigation to find the person involved in the hit and run incident. So far, they have not been successful in finding the car and the driver.

They are also gathering the CCTV footages from the societies which fall near the site where hit and run incident happened.

As of now, it has been confirmed that the car hit two fruit sellers from behind. “The post-mortem of the deceased is presently going on whereas the injured is now out of danger and is in stable condition,” police confirmed.

The incident happened at the distance of about 100 metres from the signal of Ganpati Chowk. City Spidey contacted many RWAs and managements of the societies which are in the vicinity.

President of Ganpati Apartments, KS Bhati said that there was a camera at the gate of Ganpati Apartments and police can take the footage if it helps in the investigation.

President of Manjil Apartments, Jayant Mondol said that their cameras do not cover the main road but they will be sharing it otherwise as it can help in investigations.

“We keep recordings of last 15 days and are always ready to help in the investigation. Police can take it and look into the matter. But our cameras cover only the service lane.”

Two fruit vendors — Sarvesh (35) and Inder  (30) — were hit from behind by a speeding car near Ganpati Chowk, opposite Manzil Apartments in Sector 9 on Sunday night.

While Sarvesh was brought dead to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, the other victim has been admitted to Aushman Hospital in Sector 12. 

A case has been registered (FIR No. 463/18 u/s 279,337, 304A IPC) at Dwarka South police station. Relatives of the victims have been informed.
