The flat buyers at Mascot Manorath, a high rise project at Noida Extension, complained about delayed possession of flats.

According to buyers, they invested into the project in 2012 and the developer promised to give possession of flats in 2014. But the developer failed to deliver on time.

Even after the 4 years since the promised time of delivery, the developer is yet to give possession of flats.

A buyer, Ashutosh Kumar said that they staged a protest at the construction site against the builder last week. But, nothing has changed.

“Builder is making around 700 flats in the project and over 400 flats are already sold. But, the buyers are still waiting for the possession of flats,” he added.

“More than 70 per cent flat amount has already been given to the builder. Only 50 per cent construction work has been done by the builder. The construction was also stopped by the developer,” a buyer said.

“We are living in a rented accommodation and also giving EMIs to bank. It is very difficult to survive as 90 per cent of the salary goes in EMI and rent,” he added.

“If the builder does not resume the construction work then a mass protest will be done in future,” he said.

When City Spidey tried to contact the officials of builder, they were not ready to talk on the matter.
