GreNo West residents get their first shopping-cum-cineplex mall

It was a joyous moment for the lakhs of residents of the high rises in Greater Noida West as they got their first mall at their doorstep. Gaurs Group, India's one of the largest real estate firms, inaugurated Gaur City Mall on Friday that houses not only popular clothing brands, supermarkets but also a cineplex for the inhabitants, who earlier used to travel 11 kilometres to reach a one-stop destination like this. 

Located right on Gaur Chowk, entry to the Greater Noida West region, the 20-storey mall is in the close vicinity to the approved metro station. It also provides space to five -star hotel, commercial offices, service apartments beside various luxury brands, restaurants and a cineplex. The mall also boasts multi-level parking of estimated 5,600 cars, an operational petrol pump and an upcoming hospital. This would be the first private hospital for the three lakh residents.  

"At present, we are left with no option than travelling approximately 11 km to reach Logix Mall near Noida City Center. Apart from Gaur group, there are a couple of more such multiplexes which are under construction in this area,” said Vikas Kumar, a resident of Greater Noida West. 

Another resident Shivendu Shekhar, a resident of Gaur City said such a development is a big relief for the office-goers, who otherwise spend most of their off in commuting to a nearby mall to buy groceries. 

“This development definitely will bring big relief for all residents living here. Having a big mall with all faculties at your doorstep, will no doubt save our valuable time. At present we have to go either Ghaziabad or Noida on every weekend," he added. 

The builder feels the mall would be a big hit for the residents and will solve their half of the problems. 

"We are expecting the mall to be very successful as with such a large population already residing and over a lakh more flats soon to be ready for possession there would be a huge demand for shopping and commercial area," Manoj Gaur, MD< Gaurs Group said in a statement. 

The mall includes 8.45 lakh square feet of retail area.
