The Noida police has intensified search against the accused for allegedly assaulting and snatching valuables from a resident of Sector 77 in Noida. Police said that they have collected the CCTV footage and are trying to identify two men who came in blue Baleno car.

The accused carried out the crime in broad daylight outside the victim’s society on Sunday.

Mohit Arora, a resident of Civitech Sampriti, a high rise residential society in Sector 77, came out for repairing of his office bag’s chain on Sunday. While he was standing at the rear corner of his society besides the main road leading to metro stations, two men in a blue Baleno car asked him for directions.

They came closer and snatched gold chain. He was also hit by butt of pistol which they were carrying.

In the police complaint, the police have informed that when 30-year-old Arora was out to get his bag repaired, two unidentified men showed him pistol and snatched gold chain. They said, “When Arora shouted for help, he was attacked. The victim was then rushed to a private hospital as there was an injury to his nose.”   

Speaking to City Spidey, Ajay Kumar Agarwal, station house officer with Sector 49 police station told that footage has been collected from the areas and they are scanning them to identify the accused. “Search to nab them is also in progress,” he added.
