Dwarka: King cobra rescued from Lovely Home Apartment

Officers from Wildlife SOS on Friday rescued around 5-feet-long baby king cobra from a Dwarka based residential society.

The snake was spotted by the guards in the parking area of Lovely Home Apartment, Dwarka sector 5. Minutes after the snake was spotted, residents dialled 100 number and informed the police, who later informed Wildlife SOS about the snake.

According to one of the residents, Vishal Gupta, "The snake was hiding in a plastic bag. Residents immediately tried to contact South Delhi Municipal Corporation, but no one at their office picked up the calls. After some efforts, they contacted police via 100 number. The police reached on the spot and called Wildlife SOS, who rescued the snake."

“ It was a very different experience for the police and their efforts are highly appreciated," added Gupta.

The whole operation was completed within one and half hour.
