The residents of Suncity in Gurugram's sector 54 met with the Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) Hariom Atri at his office in sector 34 on Tuesday.

The delegation comprising Renu Sharma, PK Sharma, Ashok Joshi, Abhey Poonia, VMK Singh and many others gave a memorandum highlighting key issues concerning to the area.

During the meeting, the residents apprised the joint commissioner about several issues such as handing over of community centre to Suncity RWA (SRWA), repairing of STP plant, provision to watering parks with STP water in the vicinity, replacement of LED streetlights in the colony and its repairing, door-to-door garbage collection, deployment of horticulture staff for the parks, repairing of pavements across the colony.   

VMK Singh, a resident of Suncity said, "We discussed all our issues which is under his jurisdiction. The handing over the community centre to RWA was discussed during the meeting, it has been our long-pending demand. We have proposed that they can either completely handover the community centre to the RWA or they can maintain it in association with the SRWA".  

Further, the matter for the removal of unauthorized hoarding boards was brought up to his notice. He has immediately directed the concerned official to take action. Following which a team of MCG visited the area on Tuesday and took an action against the illegal hoardings.

Hariom Atri, Joint Commissioner, MCG, took note of all the points raised during the meeting and assured the residents that there will be proper management of garbage in the colony. He has instructed the concerned department to resolve the matter that were brought up during the meeting.
