Residents of Sector 137, a densely populated area, on Thursday wrote to Noida Authority demanding repair of footpaths on both sides of the Janpath road.
Vishnu Saini, a resident of Supertech Ecociti, a high rise in Sector 137, complained that these footpaths eroded over the years and the authority had not initiated any action to solve the problem.
He said, “It is now causing dust pollution in the area and pedestrians face a lot of inconveniences while walking down on the footpaths. They are broken. When the wind blows or when motor vehicles pass, loose dust particles mix with air and pollute the environment."
The letter addressed to the project engineer with work circle 7 read that footpaths on both sides of the Janpath road stretching from Sector 90 roundabout to Logic Chowk in Sector 137 are in an abysmal state. It is causing huge inconvenience to pedestrians and residents as well.
