Noida Extension Flat Owners Association (NEFOWA) has planned a 'Shiksha Abhiyaan' to help children belonging to underprivileged families in getting proper education.

The programme will start on October 2.

NEFOWA volunteers will join to make this programme a success. It will start from slum areas of Bishrakh village followed by other villages in near future.

Initially, 50 children will be imparted primary education. The space for classroom has already been ensured.

The volunteers will be collecting stationery items from the societies.

It will then be distributed among the children. NEFOWA is also asking for donation to carry out this programme. They circulated Paytm numbers for this purpose.

“We will be aiming to prepare the children for admissions in regular schools via Economic Weaker Section (EWS) quota,” said Rahul Garg, a NEFOWA member who is a resident of Havelia Homes in Greater Noida West.

As per information, lady volunteers will be provided pick and drop facility during the teaching engagements. Classes will be organised on weekends.

“To make this program a grand success, we want contributions from people. People can contribute books from nursery till class 3 and stationery items including pencils, erasers, sharpeners, colours, etc.” said Abhishek Kumar, president of NEFOWA.
