YEIDA to launch residential plot scheme near proposed Jewar airport project

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is planning to launch a residential plot scheme near the Noida International Greenfield Airport project site this Navratri.

The authority will be launching the scheme during the nine days of the upcoming Navratri festival which will start on September 28. However, no date has yet been decided on for the launch, said a YEIDA official.

Though the number of plots available for sale is yet to be decided by the authority, formal preparations like the final design of the project, sector and size of plots among others are being worked out by the officials of the authority.

The scheme aims to offer plots on reasonable rates to those who wish to settle along the expressway, an official said. It will include plots sizing between 112 to 300 square metres and interested buyers will be given a month's time to apply under the scheme.

The authority has also planned to set up fuel stations and build six stations of size 2,400 square metres with facilities of petrol-diesel, CNG and electric charging points under the new scheme.

The scheme is being launched in the wake of the success of the much-touted scheme of smaller plots in the area. Earlier, the YEIDA had launched industrial plots scheme 2019 for which they received over 500 applications so far. Under the scheme, which ends on October 21 this year, plots ranging from 300 to 1800 square metres are on offer.
